Living in the name of...

This is the first of two, and possibly three posts addressing Living in the Name of The Lord..
This is just my commentary on what it means to me as an average person first and foremost; and as a Minister as well.

As an average person, growing up, I found it difficult to understand what it was to live in GOD'S Name. It seemed to come easy for me to wind up out of bounds so to speak. Now that I'm older, I pay much more attention to how I live. I ask not for payment, but accept donations for my labors. I am leery by nature but do my best to help all who need. I work to follow the example that Jesus gave us, and yet I know I fall short. The best I can do is admit my mistakes and ask forgiveness while striving evermore to attain the life God intends me to live.
The body of the post to come is lengthy, and this is an important lesson. I confess that I found this a daunting topic. There are a number of Verses that apply to this subject, and they shall be included in their entirety.
I will begin at the end,as it were. Originally the outline placed this portion at the end...
I feel it belongs at the beginning because of the importance of the topic.

Why is it so important to live/ do all In The Name Of The LORD?
Because the LORD commands us so...  Col 3:17  And everything, whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.

Also, it follows the example of Jesus...
1Pe 2:21  For you were not called to this? For Christ also suffered on our behalf, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps,
Mat 4:1  Then Jesus was led by the Spirit up into the wilderness, to be tempted by the Devil.
Mat 4:2  And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He was afterwards hungry.
Mat 4:3  And when the tempter came to Him, he said, If You are the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
Mat 4:4  But He answered and said, It is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God."
Mat 4:5  Then the Devil took Him up into the holy city and set Him upon a pinnacle of the Temple.
Mat 4:6  And he said to Him, If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down. For it is written, "He shall give His angels charge concerning You, and in their hands they shall bear You up, lest at any time You dash Your foot against a stone."
Mat 4:7  Jesus said to him, It is written again, "You shall not tempt the Lord your God."
Mat 4:8  Again, the Devil took Him up into a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
Mat 4:9  And he said to Him, All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.
Mat 4:10  Then Jesus said to him, Go, Satan! For it is written, "You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve."
Mat 4:11  Then the Devil left him. And behold, angels came and ministered to Him.

Joh 6:38  For I came down from Heaven, not to do My own will but the will of Him who sent Me.
And so we too shall do not our own will but the will of our Lord.... For this is the example we have been given in right living.
Obedience to God's will is to bring about unity among all believers.
1Co 1:10  But I exhort you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among you; but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
1Co 1:11  For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brothers, by those of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
1Co 1:12  But I say this, that every one of you says, I am of Paul, and I of Apollos, and I of Cephas, and I of Christ.
1Co 1:13  Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you, or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

Finally we must obey the commandment if we are to receive a crown of life.
To be judged so worthy, we must abide by HIS WORD, even unto our last.
2Ti 4:6  For I am already being poured out, and the time of my release is here.
2Ti 4:7  I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith.
2Ti 4:8  Now there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me at that Day; and not to me only, but also to all those who love His appearing.

We shall visit more on this in the next post where we will address the Correct, and Incorrect ways to obey God's commandment  that we are to Live And Do All In The Name Of The Lord.
       Until then, God Bless,
                                         Yours in Christ,

Praise THE LORD! Be ye Thankful

Here now, we begin anew!
And so, in gratitude for the opportunity to make mistakes that I may learn, and for the opportunities to try once again...  Praise God! I am Thankful!
In this post I bring your attention to Psalm 100:1-5

Psalm 100:1  A Psalm of thanksgiving. Make a joyful noise unto Jehovah, all ye lands.
Psalm 100:2  Serve Jehovah with gladness: Come before his presence with singing.
Psalm 100:3  Know ye that Jehovah, he is God: It is he that hath made us, and we are his; We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Psalm 100:4  Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, And into his courts with praise: Give thanks unto him, and bless his name.
Psalm 100:5  For Jehovah is good; his loving kindness endure for ever, And his faithfulness unto all generations.

How many times we get caught in the hustle and bustle of every day life, forgetting that the successes we have are as much a gift of God as the Blessing of a newborn child.
How should we praise the Lord? How are we to show the Lord our Thankfulness?
We can begin each day with a morning devotional. We can sing his praises everywhere! Always with happiness in our hearts, when we go to worship HIM; let us remember all of the Blessings we have received! Let us remember our friends and loved ones who went off to war and returned home safely! We have been mightily Blessed!
Let us be Thankful for our Freedom! Let us be Thankful for the sacrifices made by our Beloved Armed Forces!
We can praise God and be Thankful for EVERYTHING we have ,have done, have the ability to do!
Every single living person has something that they can raise their hands to heaven and say "LORD, I am Thankful!' Let us not forget the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for us! There is something to be Thankful for! Indeed! Salvation, Life everlasting, absolution of sin... Thank You Jesus!

Why...
Why would we Praise and be Thankful to the LORD?
I will tell you why...  Because HE is GOD, The Creator of EVERYTHING !
HE is Good, Kind, Loving, and he is our Protector.
The scriptures tell us a lot about GOD, our LORD.
If we truly get involved in studying The BIBLE... we will learn far more reason to sing HIS praise.

Where are we to Praise GOD?
Psalm 34:1  A Psalm of David,  I will bless Jehovah at all times; His praise always shall be in my mouth.
Psalm 34:2  My soul shall make its boast in Jehovah; the humble shall hear and be glad.
Psalm 34:3  O magnify Jehovah with me, and let us exalt His name together.

We shall Praise GOD ALWAYS , and EVERYWHERE !
We can Praise GOD on our way to work, home or school. Some believe that Church is the only place, but that simply is not so!
We can Praise GOD virtually anywhere imaginable!

We can all Praise GOD and give Thanks to him.
We may choose different ways, as it is not necessary that we all Praise in the same fashion.
Some will choose ways quite alien to others, but there is no right or wrong so long as Praise be given..
This is the conclusion of today's message, but before I go I would like to remind my readers that Prayer is a powerful thing. Pray often! Offer Prayers for a healing for a sick friend. Pray for a joyful day or help for the homeless... Pray and give Thanks for all of the Blessings you have received.
    Brightest Blessings to You!
                                                                              Yours in Christ,
                                                                                William Francis

Genesis continued

In my post titled Genesis, I posed a two part question.
"First question: When God created all of his Glory, Why did he create man, and what was the "pattern" he used?"
Gen 1:26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Gen 1:27  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Gen 1:28  And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Now in the reading, I realized that there is more an implied reason for man's making. God created man to be his children and to carry forth here on Earth, as HE does in Heaven.

Gen_1:26
in the image: Psa_139:14; Isa_43:7; Eph_2:10, Eph_4:24; Col_1:15
male: Gen_2:21-25, Gen_5:2; Mal_2:15; Mat_19:4; Mar_10:6; 1Co_11:8-9

For anyone interested in following beyond basic understanding of the literal scripture at face value. the Book,Chapter and Verses listed above should aid you in gaining more insight and clarity of this Biblical event.
I do apologize,I did not put as much into this post as I originally intended. I realized that I needed to take a different approach.  Yet, I was unable to simply leave an open end.
With that, Blessings to one and all.  Yours in Christ,  William Francis

ReVamping Early

Being new to blogging, and being a Newbie Minister makes this a unique challenge for me.
My first concern is to keep it down to earth, to keep it real. My second concern is to actually find a format in which I can spread , not only God's Word; but, the understanding of it.
I have so many sleepless nights, and so I am ever thinking about this project. I began with the idea of posing a question, wait for a response and then pull out the scripture to illustrate the "correct" answer.
It seemed a good teaching concept at first; but with a lack of traffic and no response... It's time to revamp a little. I have decided that I shall next post to complete the mission of the last. I hate leaving things undone! Each post thereafter will be completely different. There shall be a verse or a dozen, with some of my personal thoughts and questions... The open message policy remains!
This is it... This is the moment that this blog changes, and God willing, it will become a tool of the Lord to enlighten other individuals. Blessed is he who does HIS work. Blessed I am to have caught the attention of a few. Now, it is my job to make it worthwhile to keep coming back. Bless you, One and All in the Name of the LORD, Jesus.

Genesis

I have been sitting here for hours a day scanning through Version after version of the Bible. I've been pouring over Biblical dictionaries, and reference notes.
The first conclusion that I came to after all of this... the only place to begin is at the beginning!
How disordered the story would be if we began looking at the scriptures in the middle!
To do this, I am going to post a question, and then I shall await a response from anyone who may be interested in seriously studying. Next, I will begin posting from the Bible, Genesis Chapter 1. Step by step and we will slowly progress through the depths of God's Word. There will always be opportunities for questions and answers!
First Question: When God created all of his glory, Why did he create man, and what was the "pattern" he used?
On that note... Brightest Blessings and Best Wishes!

The Joke is on me... Or is it?

I was browsing around the www.  after my first post. I know I should not have been; yet, I was a bit surprised at the number of "Christian" blogs among other general "Religious" blogs.
I believe that my goals are a little different from others though.  I am not here to make Biblical arguments for my opinions. My opinions are just that, my opinions My Biblical points and topics are simply scriptures laid out straight forward. I will, on occasion, put it into "other words" as I did at the end of my first post.
I had to stop though, and ask myself why anyone should read my blog as compared to the others.
My answer is simple. I am not here to judge, degrade, or to tell anyone they are wrong. I am here to simply validate the search that others are making, and to try to guide them to the answers you seek.
I have made up my mind to be more than a Minister who relays from the Bible. I am a friend, a confidante. All correspondences will be held sacred and confidential.
I know that this is likely to be a slow beginning. Still, I believe it will grow to something beautiful and well worth the effort! This is not only about Salvation... This is about being a resource for comfort and advice; and a safe haven of hope and reassurance,!  I am including my direct e-mail : shadowgirl6987@yahoo.com  ... This to accommodate anyone wishing to contact me with personal matters. I do respond as quickly as possible, usually within an hour or so, depending upon my schedule.
Come, here you are welcome. Here we may congregate and speak of HIS greatness!
Blessed be one and all in the name of the Lord!
As an average unemployed individual, life seems pretty harsh. The opportunities are few with a limited education, and a little thing called BiPolar / Manic- Depressive Disorder. Add in the fact that I am a non conformist, and a transsexual....     To say the world frowns to see me coming, that would be an understatement.
As a recently Ordained Minister, life is but a means to sort Saints from Sinners. I feel that my life has counted for little till now. My experiences, and my faith stand as qualifiers to speak a great deal on matters others might shy away from.
I am probably about to create controversy in that I believe God judges not on what we wear, or who our mate might be. I believe that such things included in the Bible were placed there by men who injected their words and hang ups and called it God's will.
I believe that God judges us on the lives we live as a whole sum of our deeds.
I'm not about to dwell upon these things though. What is truly important is that every one has a Minister, Pastor, or Priest to confide in and to be Spiritually led by. Every one needs the opportunity to be guided to understanding God's Word. That is what my personal mission is. To reach out to as many people as I can who otherwise would not embrace HIS Word.  Seems daunting and so I leave you now with Psalms: 23:4 Yea' though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.  In other words, I'm not afraid of the path I walk because I go forth in God's name. He is my comfort. The Bible, and HIS Word protect me....
Brightest Blessings till next time. Peace be with you!
